Dad had a Kind and Tender Heart. He was Unconditionally Loving and Compassionate and was a Devoted, Supportive and Selfless Father.
He had Great Friends that he shared deep relationships with. He was a Philanthropist, and I believe his greatest satisfaction in life may well have been in giving his time to others that need love and support. He loved Photography, Running, Hiking, Travel, Great Friends and Family, Good Food and Wine. He is Greatly Missed.

A Child’s Bedtime Prayer
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray thee, Lord, my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray thee, Lord, my soul to take.
If I should live for other days,
I pray thee, Lord, to guide my ways.
“The leader of the band is tired…” -Dan Fogelberg
A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Rest in Peace Chris. We love you.
Another day to go over and over the pain and the loss.
Another day to deepen our spiritual understanding.
Another day to wonder, another day to give-up.
Another day to stand in a place of ‘not knowing’.
A day to test our faith.
STG Presents: Layne Staley Tribute Show, Saturday, August 19th 2017 at The Moore Theater in Seattle, WA.
On August 19th, friends, family, fans, and admirers are welcomed to once again gather in celebration of the life and legacy of Layne Staley. This year we honor what would have been Layne’s 50th birthday, also marking the 25th anniversary of the release of Dirt, by Alice in Chains.
The annual tribute show will play the music of Layne Staley at the historic Moore Theater, featuring songs from Alice in Chains and Mad Season performed by Jar of Flies (the ultimate AIC experience), along with special guest performers from the Seattle music community.
The Moore Theater, originally built in 1907, is the very stage captured in the Alice in Chains ‘Live Facelift’ and Mad Season ‘Live at the Moore’ videos, as well as countless other performances over the years.
Jar of Flies (the ultimate AIC experience) is a gathering of top Seattle musicians with a passion for live energy and true showmanship. In honor of Alice in Chains, the Seattle- based tribute band brings an authentic and powerful sonic experience. They do not try to look like the bands, act like the bands, or try to “be” the bands; they just painstakingly work to ensure that they sound exactly like the albums, and recreate those memories for fans like themselves.
Hope to see you there. Tell your friends!
-Nancy Layne McCallum

“Layne…brought me into recovery. The damage I did to myself, coupled with the blessings of his spirit, amazing coincidences, and the blessing of the Universe, is a powerful message that I’m getting this last chance & I need to share my experience, strength and hope”. Ronni T.
It is an honor to partner with Layne and his legacy in continuing to raise our voices in awareness and hope.
Thank you for your past support and continuing interest.
